Future Calling, long listed Aesthetica Art Prize 2022
Miranda studied for her Fine Art MA at Central Saint Martins, after studying a BA hons in Theatre and Performance from the University of Warwick. Miranda's work has a sense of performance throughout.
Fascinated by light, translucency and shadow, Miranda uses these to enhance her artworks; like crossfades in a film. Inspired by storytelling, old family photos, interiors and fragments of the past, Mirandas art is largely made using old slide projectors, and slides often projected onto figures or interiors and rephotographed with with 35mm or digital camera's.
There is a sense of past and present colliding in the final images.
